Tour 8 days From Marrakech
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Pick-up on arrival in Marrakech and transfer to the medina (old walled city). We will spend the night in a Riad in the medina of Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech city tour with local guide
The city tour includes the following key sites, if time permits, based on a half-day or full-day excursion: souks, Jewish quarter, Bahia Palace, minaret and gardens of the Koutoubia, Saadian tombs, school Koranic Ben Youssef, apothecary (Berber pharmacy of spices, herbs and oils) and Majorelle Gardens with a beautiful museum of Amazigh costumes and jewels (Berber). Half day free to enjoy the night in Jamaa el Fna square. Accommodation in the Riad.
Day 3: casablanca – rabat
Transfer along the highway to Rabat with detour to visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Join a walking tour followed by a car ride and a meal in Corniche. We will continue our trip to the political capital of Morocco, Rabat, to explore the highlights if time permits: Chellah necropolis, Royal Palace, (if we have the opportunity to enter), Kasbah of Oudayas, Hassan Tower and the tombs of The Royal Family. Accommodation in a Riad in the Medina of Rabat.
Day 4: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
Our trip will take us to the famous imperial city of Meknes to discover the highlights of it, starting with the Bab al Mansour Gate, the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the granaries Sahrej Souani and the prison that was built to house the sailors Christians captured at sea by Moulay Ismail (1672-1727). After a Moroccan lunch at the top of one of the terraces in the Medina, we will drive to Volubilis, the ancient ruins and the mosaics (free time to walk) the guide is optional. We continue our route to Fez to spend the night in a Riad in the Medina.
Day 5: Fez city tour with local guide
After breakfast, a local Fez guide will accompany you on your tour to explore the oldest imperial city in Moroccan history, our visit will include, if time permits: Medersa (Koranic school), Attarin or Bou-Inania, Quaraouiyine Mosque , founded by Fatima Bint al-Fihria in the ninth century AD. C., fountain and museum of Nejjarine, Bab Boujloud, the blue and green door. Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II, tanneries of Chouwara and have the feeling of having stepped back in time. The water clock dating from the fourteenth century A.D. Souks Traditional ceramics and Merenid Tombs. Afternoon free to relax or enjoy the streets of the old Medina. Overnight accommodation in a Riad.
Day 6: Fez – Ifrane – Atlas Mountains – Ouzoud Falls
Transfer to the small Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane, for a morning walk in the open air. The route continues through the High Atlas mountains and the green landscape with its Berber villages. Stop en route to eat at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will arrive at the waterfall of Ouzoud. These are the highest waterfalls in Morocco and, although it is a descent to the bottom of the falls, there are steps. Ouzoud is a popular campsite for Moroccans in summer. The falls are at their best in spring when the river flows are high. Dinner and accommodation in a charming Auberge (mountain inn).
Day 7: Ouzoud Falls – Marrakech
After breakfast, you have the morning free. In a short walk, you can discover the waterfalls in all its states and the panoramic views of the Berber villages. Time wasted food with the macaques, locals, who do not forget to remember their kind memory … After lunch we headed to the Atlas Mountains to reach the red city of Marrakech in the afternoon. We will spend the night in a Riad in the Medina.
Day 8: Departure from Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech airport and departure. End of our services.
