Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Pick up at 8 in the morning at your hotel or Riad, transfer to Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland) our first stop to enjoy the city with its completely European style. Along the route we will cross the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas where you can often see the barbary macaques, while we will enjoy the contrasts of the landscapes, we will stop at Midelt, famous for its apple trees, to eat at a local restaurant or Do some shopping (vegetables and fruits) and have a picnic by a river. Our trip will continue to the gorges of the Ziz Valley, with its palm procession, while we will pass through many typical Berber villages that arrive in the city of Erfoud to visit a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing the fascinating stony desert, the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, incredibly beautiful expanse of undulating dunes, also known as the Merzouga Dunes. Day 2: Sightseeing tour through the Desert – Merzouga – Nomads – Rissani

In the morning we will visit the town of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music; originally from the great African Sahara. We will visit some desert mines and share a mint tea with Berber nomads in an oasis of palm trees. We will drive through the black desert (Hamada) and along the roads of the DAKAR Rally. Then we will go to Rissani, where you can walk through the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco, and the largest in southern Morocco. It is sold with all kinds of crafts, food and animals. Market days are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. We will eat madfouna (Berber stuffed pizza) at the home of a local family. We will return to the sand dunes of Merzouga in the afternoon, where we will ride on camels to spend the night in a camp equipped with music in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to make beautiful pictures of sunset and sunrise. At this time, we will explore the secrets of the Sahara and its unlimited horizons. We will spend the night in nomadic Berber tents.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

You can get up early to enjoy the first rays of sun over the desert. Enjoy your breakfast at the camp and get on your camel to return to the lodge and meet your driver. The itinerary will take us to the Todra Gorges to enjoy the wonderful views of its canyons while we will walk them on foot. We will continue our way through Berber and palm groves, we will stop en route to eat at a local restaurant. We will cross the administrative city of Boumalen to reach the Dades Gorges, where our trip will end in a charming hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: Gorges of the Dades – Valley of the Roses – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Today, after breakfast, we will drive along Kelaa Mgouna (Valley of the Roses) where highly scented roses bloom in the hedges during April and May, at which time to buy a bouquet of roses. Then we will continue to Ouarzazate, known for its movie studios, which host many international film productions and is also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We follow the route along the Ounila Valley and only 40 km from the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we will see the Kasbah of Telouet, an ancient route of the Sahara caravans over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
